Con Moto’s hair conditioner recipe

Preparation and concoction time: Around 30 minutes.

The magic ingredients:

  • Eight tablespoons of olive oil

  • Two tablespoons of  honey

  • 10 drops of rosemary oil

  • Half a lemon

  • A decent shower Cap

  • A big bowl

  • Something to mix your conditioner with - the choice is yours

  • A jar or bottle

How to make the conditioner:

One. Grab your big bowl, add your olive oil and honey and mix until the two ingredients integrate, making the mixture smooth.

Two. Squeeze your lemon into the mix and stir for one to two minutes, then add your rosemary oil drops, and repeat.

Three. Decant your conditioner into a jar or bottle and label (you don’t want someone spreading your concoction on their toast, although it will taste good); leave to settle at room temperature for 15 - 20 minutes then refrigerate until ready for use.

How to apply:

You can apply your conditioner straight to your head straight after making it if you wish, but whether you decide to slap it straight on or store it, the application process is more or less the same. Just remember, if you’re taking it out of the fridge, let it sit at room temp for at least 10 minutes.

One. Grab liberal handfuls of your DIY hair conditioner and apply it to your hair, massaging it into your scalp.

Two. Cover your hair with a shower cap, and chill out for half an hour.

Three. Rinse out thoroughly, dry, style and go about your day with your shiny new mane.

Olive oil is a natural conditioner thats helps to hydrate and nourish your hair while the honey seals in the moisture and the lemon keeps your scalp healthy. And the rosemary oil? Not only does it smell spot on, but it helps to give your hair natural boost and volume - a magic combo if ever we saw one.

We hope our homemade hair conditioner recipe gives your hair and scalp the love it needs, and if you’re a bearded warrior, we also have a handy DIY beard oil recipe up our sleeves - enjoy.
